A LIFE OF MUSIC, FAITH & PURPOSE
From the rhythms of the Dominican Republic to the stages of Puerto Rico, Miami, and Dallas, my life has been a journey shaped by music, faith, family, and service. For more than four decades, music has been more than my profession—it has been one of the ways I express the Divine within me.
Today, my journey brings together two great callings: music and ministry. As a singer, musical director, speaker, and Unity minister, I seek to inspire others to discover their own voice, embrace their spiritual potential, and live with greater purpose.
FROM THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC TO THE STAGE
Born in Nagua, Dominican Republic, Nubia Del Carmen Jiménez grew up surrounded by the rhythms, traditions, and warmth of Dominican culture. In the 1970s, her family moved to Puerto Rico, where music would become an increasingly important part of her life and eventually open the door to a professional career.
As a professional singer, Nubia had the opportunity to work alongside some of Latin music’s most recognized artists, including Carmita Jiménez, Nydia Caro, Marco Antonio Muñiz, José José, and Basilio. She also worked with entertainers Iris Chacón and Olguita Álvarez and performed with her sisters Johannys and Lely as the trio Las Hermanas Jiménez.

A NEW CHAPTER: MUSIC MEETS MINISTRY
In 2012, a new chapter began when I discovered Unity through Misión Unity/Unity Para Todos in Miami. What began as a spiritual journey gradually became a calling to serve. After returning to Florida following Hurricane Maria, I became part of Unity on the Bay in Miami, where I served for more than five years as Musical Director and Choir Director.
In 2023, I began my ministerial studies, bringing together two paths that had shaped my life for decades: music and spirituality. That same year, my family and I moved to Dallas, Texas. In 2024, a new opportunity to serve emerged through the creation of Unity of Dallas en Español, where I continue sharing a message of love, spiritual transformation, and the Divine potential within each person.
Serving in Dallas.
Today, my ministry and my music are expressions of the same calling: to create spaces where people can experience the presence of God, discover the Divine within themselves, and live with greater love, faith, and purpose. Through music, spiritual messages, teaching, and community, I seek to help others recognize that they are never separated from the Source of life within them.
I currently serve the Spanish-speaking community at Unity of Dallas, where it is my privilege to help build a welcoming spiritual home in which people from different backgrounds can grow, connect, celebrate, and experience the transformative power of practical spirituality.
